SUMMARY:Youth Day Camp: Survival (with optional overnight!)
DESCRIPTION:Youth summer day camps have been a long-standing tradition at Hunt Hill! Our day camps typically feature environmental-themed learning activities\, games\, swimming\, and crafts in small\, age-appropriate groups. Camps are interactive and led by a team of trained and enthusiastic educators. Day camps are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm\, with camper drop-off starting at 8:30am. \nWeek 4: Survival! (with optional overnight) \nMaster outdoor survival skills as we learn about outdoor safety along wiht survival techniques for fire starting\, shelter building\, and finding food and water in the wild. Campers attending this week have the option for a one-night sleepover! \nRegistration Information: Registration is required\, and space is limited. Day Camp registration will open in February 2026 with early access to Hunt Hill FAMILY and STUDENT members. SUMMARY:Little Explorers: Caterpillars & Butterflies
DESCRIPTION:Little Explorers is an exciting morning of stories\, crafts\, songs\, and nature activities geared towards 3–6 year olds at Hunt Hill; though all ages are welcome! Every program starts in the Lower Level of the Richard Grand Recreation Hall at Hunt Hill Nature Center\, unless otherwise noted. Guardians must stay for the duration of the program\, and each program will feature a different nature theme. Depending on weather\, we will be outside for a portion of this program. Please dress appropriately to be inside and outside in the weather. \nIn August\, Explorers will follow the journey of caterpillars transforming into butterflies. Danielle Spak of the Birchwood Butterfly Ranch will be joining us to teach us about butterflies\, their behavior\, and their importance in pollination We will read Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert and make beautiful butterfly art! \nProgram Fee: Free\, but donations are appreciated.\nLocation: Meet at Lower Level of Richard Grand Recreation Hall\, Hunt Hill Nature Center\nRegistration is not required\, but strongly encouraged. Limit: 35 people \nNOTE: You must register yourself AND your child(ren). GRANDPARENTS\, please have your grandchild’s parents create a free account (they do not have to become a member).
