DESCRIPTION:Program Fee: $15/person\, $10/member\nLocation: Meet at Lower Level of Richard Grand Recreation Hall at Hunt Hill Nature Center \nJoin Hunt Hill for a fun-filled\, educational\, and flutter-in-your-stomach-inspiring adventure as we explore the Birchwood Butterfly Ranch at the height of monarch season! Spend the day exploring the ranch at your own pace; wander the field (land snorkel!)\, join a guided walking tour or take a guided ATV ride\, and participate in several optional hands-on activities throughout the day. We will meet at Hunt Hill Nature Center to ride in or follow the Hunt Hill van. \nParticipants should be prepared to walk on uneven ground\, through a field on a mowed path. Pack a lunch and water bottle\, and bring sunscreen and bug spray. \n\nWays to Register for a Program: \n\nSelect the BROWSE & REGISTER to register online. SUMMARY:Little Explorers: Caterpillars & Butterflies
DESCRIPTION:Little Explorers is an exciting morning of stories\, crafts\, songs\, and nature activities geared towards 3–6 year olds at Hunt Hill; though all ages are welcome! Every program starts in the Lower Level of the Richard Grand Recreation Hall at Hunt Hill Nature Center\, unless otherwise noted. Guardians must stay for the duration of the program\, and each program will feature a different nature theme. Depending on weather\, we will be outside for a portion of this program. Please dress appropriately to be inside and outside in the weather. \nIn August\, Explorers will follow the journey of caterpillars transforming into butterflies. Danielle Spak of the Birchwood Butterfly Ranch will be joining us to teach us about butterflies\, their behavior\, and their importance in pollination We will read Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert and make beautiful butterfly art! \nProgram Fee: Free\, but donations are appreciated.\nLocation: Meet at Lower Level of Richard Grand Recreation Hall\, Hunt Hill Nature Center\nRegistration is not required\, but strongly encouraged. Limit: 35 people \nNOTE: You must register yourself AND your child(ren). GRANDPARENTS\, please have your grandchild’s parents create a free account (they do not have to become a member).
