Diamond Willow Walking Stick Workshop

Join Storme Nelson, retired Hunt Hill Executive Director, in harvesting diamond willow to make a beautifully twisted walking stick. Participants will learn about carving tools and easy techniques for carving their own walking sticks. Bring a bag lunch and your own carving tools (especially any tools that can be used for peeling bark). Some tools will be provided.

Nordic Walking Workshop

Kristin Hanson from Out There Nordic in Rice Lake will introduce the basics of Nordic Walking and then lead you on a short loop hike to practice using hiking poles. Hiking poles will be available to borrow, but you are encouraged to bring your own.
