Hunt Hill is a nature preserve and learning center, open to all, dedicated to fostering the understanding, appreciation, and protection of the environment. Our facility boasts some of the most beautiful and unique habitats found in Wisconsin – bogs, old growth forests, meadow, and four glacial lakes.
For those looking for a day visit, we have 13 miles of hiking trails that are open and free of charge to the general public.
In addition to our beautiful natural surroundings, we offer a wide variety of programs for visitors of all ages. Programs like Cakes at the Lake, Soup Lunches, and naturalist-led hikes can add more to your next visit. Local school groups, youth day camps, and evenings of canoeing are just a few of programs that we offer.
Admission
Trails are free and open to the public! Donations are appreciated to help us support operations and maintain our grounds. Donation boxes are located on the information kiosks.
*Please note: Trails are not suitable for bikes or horses. Trails are not groomed in the winter. Leashed dogs are welcome, but any droppings must be cleaned up.
Program cost varies. Please see individual programs for more information. Although some programs are free, donations and memberships are a great way to show your support of Hunt Hill.
