The Good Things We Do Together

In 2023, we saw a renewed interest in our most popular programs. Hiking the wooded trails and sweeing prairie, canoeing the lakes, Day Camps for youth, Soup Lunches, Beast and Beer, Jazz Night, and Cakes at the Lake were among the many activities enjoyed by our visitors. Start your visit at our newly completed Visitor’s Center that includes new offices, laundry, restrooms, and shower rooms for camps. Hunt Hill has so much to offer, explore, learn, participate in, experience, and enjoy. All that is needed is you!

Respecting Our Past

In 1954, Frances Andrews bequeathed the property that became Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary to the National Audubon Society. She envisioned the property would be maintained in its natural condition, in so far as is feasible, and “bring folk an awareness of their natural surroundings.” Audubon Society closed the camp in 1986 and the Friends of Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary (FOHHAS) was formed in 1989 to honor her legacy. In 2017, FOHHAS took over full ownership of the property and in 2024 our name was changed to Hunt Hill Nature Center. With your support, our legacy continues and today nearly 600 acres of land is protected for all to explore.

Be a part of…

Belonging

Without you we cannot grow, preserve our wild places, teach others, walk paths in peaceful solitude, paddle a clean lake, share meals together, or learn about our place in the world. We need you as a link in the strong chain of appreciation, understanding, and commitment to honoring the legacy of our founders. We need you to be a member so that the future of Hunt Hill can continue to be realized.

BENEFITS OF A MEMBERSHIP
