FOHHAS is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and recommended guidelines through the Wisconsin Department of Public Health, the CDC and the Washburn County Health Department. The safety of our visitors, members, staff, and volunteers is our top priority.

As a result of COVID-19, the Hunt Hill office will remain closed during this time. Staff can still be reached by email. All inquiries can be sent to: For those onsite, M-F 9am-3pm, who have questions or need assistance, they can ring the doorbell to the farmhouse and a staff member will greet them outside.

Recognizing the importance time in nature has on each person’s mental and physical health, our trails will remain open. Trail maps can be found online or in the kiosk in front of the farmhouse. The outdoor Recreation Hall bathroom remains open, but should be used at your own risk as we are unable to disinfect it between each use. Disinfecting spray is provided in the bathroom for visitors to clean surfaces before and after use.

Programs: As of August 2020, all indoor Hunt Hill events have been cancelled and any that can be done outside will continue. As long as the State allows groups to gather, we plan to continue outdoor programs like: hike club, canoe programs, Birds and Beer when they can be held outside and allowing venue rentals. Check out the Events tab to stay up to date on current programs and cancellations.
Registrants who signed up for programs that have been cancelled by Hunt Hill, will be contacted directly.

Safety:  In order to offer outdoor programs in the safest manner possible, a Communicable Disease and Risk Management Plan has been developed. This plan has been reviewed and approved by the Washburn County Department of Health and FOHHAS.

These procedures and any additional information will be revised as needed, to address best practices as they are developed.

Our thoughts are with you all.
