Spring Ecology: Reproductive Strategies

Date & Time: Saturday, June 8th, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday, June 9th , 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Registration is required by May 31st. Limit: 30 people

Explore the varied strategies used by insects, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals to live and reproduce. This course includes lecture and fieldwork.

On Saturday, explore the weird world of herps (reptiles and amphibians) and their interesting strategies for life and reproduction with herpetologist Alexander Streitz. Also on Saturday, George Feldhammer, who wrote the book on mammalogy, will talk about mammals and their reproduction.

On Sunday, entomologist Margot Monson will discuss the myriad of strategies insects use in their quest for survival and reproduction.

Note: This course qualifies for Master Naturalist credit, but any adult learners are welcome to join!
