Cakes at the Lake: Treasures of the Secret Fen

Cakes at the Lake is an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast which features buttermilk and specialty pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, and beverages. Following the breakfast, guests are encouraged to stay for the free nature program sponsored by Long Lake Preservation Association. Treasures of the Secret Fen with Emily Stone

Cross the moat to discover carnivorous plants, devious orchids, shimmering dragonflies, buried treasure, ripening jewels, and a floating floor. It sounds like fantasy, but it’s all science!

Join Cable Natural History Museum naturalist, Emily Stone, as she gives a virtual tour of the botany, chemistry, ecology, and mysterious depths of a special local wetland.
