Habitat Restoration & Wildlife Management

Program Fee: $175/person. Includes lodging, Saturday lunch and dinner & Sunday breakfast and lunch.

Date & Time: Saturday, September 21, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday, September 22, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Registration is required by September 13th. Limit: 30 people

Habitat Restoration & Wildlife Management will feature a field tour of 225+ acre property with managed prairie, savanna, wetland, and forest habitats. Presentations will be on attracting wildlife, forest management, controlling invasives, and developing a wildlife plan.

On Saturday, Dr. Damian Vraniak will lead a tour of his property along the Namekagon River and highlight restoration projects involving rare species. Sunday will be led by Jamie Nack, Extension Wildlife Outreach Specialist. Forest and wildlife professionals from state and federal agencies, as well as non-profit organizations, will present information on topics such as attracting wildlife, forest management practices, controlling invasive plats, and developing a wildlife management plan.

Note: This course qualifies for Master Naturalist credit, but all adult learners are welcome to join!
