About the Artist: Don Ruedy, Professor Emeritus from the University of Wisconsin Barron County, is an artist and retired art professor whose work reflects a thoughtful connection to place, process, and careful observation—values that align closely with Hunt Hill Nature Center’s mission. His artwork is known for its craftsmanship, quiet strength, and ability to invite viewers to slow down and engage more deeply with the world around them. His art can be found in the halls of the Ladysmith hospital, UW-EC-BC, Mayo Clinic in Rice Lake, and Marshfield Clinic in Rice Lake. He also designed the concrete wall sculpture at the UW EC-BC campus Rice Lake as well as the bronze kneeling soldier in the Rice Lake Veteran’s Memorial Park.

In addition to art, Don played guitar with the trio We-3, played harp at many weddings, and bagpipes at funerals and curling events.

Your Purchase Supports Hunt Hill! 30% of every sale will be donated to Hunt Hill Nature Center, directly supporting our low- and no-cost environmental education programs and free public trail system. This sale offers a meaningful opportunity to collect original artwork while helping ensure that Hunt Hill’s programs and natural spaces remain accessible to all.

Framed artwork, as well as loose pieces will be available for purchase. Keep scrolling to see some of the pieces that will be available for sale. NOTE: The Ruedy’s are interested in seeing their art find homes while supporting Hunt Hill and are willing to be flexible on pricing!
