Soup Lunch: Aurora Borealis – Understanding, Forecasting, and Photographing the Aurora

Warm yourself with a bowl of soup while enjoying camaraderie and conversation at Hunt Hill Nature Center! Each month features a different guest speaker, along with a delicious lunch of soup, crackers, cheese, and dessert provided by Hunt Hill. We strongly encourage participants to bring their own bowl, mug, and cutlery to reduce waste. Lunch: 12:00 – 12:30 pm; Program: 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Program Fee: $10/person, $7/member
Location: Richard Grand Recreation Hall, Hunt Hill Nature Center
Registration is not required, but strongly encouraged. Limit: 80 people
Aurora Borealis: Understanding, Forecasting, and Photographing the Aurora with Bob King
We’ll look at what makes the aurora, its colors and forms, and explore where and when to see it best. Participants will learn basic forecasting techniques and easy ways to capture images of the northern lights using phones and digital cameras.
